The Second Sex by Simone de Beauvoir.
On another note, given my current workload, it is sort of unusual that I'm reading so much today. I started with two new books today - the one I just mentioned about and then Harper Lee's "To kill a mockingbird " which I randomly grabbed from the library shelf while passing by. My day has been dull with some unnecessary complications and unpleasant conversations. I needed the warmth of a lucid, well-written novel to accompany my lonely coffee in this freezing, gloomy evening. The contrast of experience in reading these two books within a span of half a day sort of helped me balance or distract my melancholic state of mind. Surprisingly, in spite of the extensive reading since yesterday, I am able to pull up some work too.
Now that reminds me of Bermuda Triangle - a 189 page treatise-turned-thriller that I read yesterday. Well, it was more of a research article gone wrong due to poor writing style and excessively biased, inconclusive, imaginary theories at times. But it stuffed me with a lot of information and stories!! Given I blogged twice today (appending stuff after the paragraph on "The Second Sex" in this post) and given I have some work to do now, here I sign off for the day.
P.S. The one thing I will do before I die is delve into the mystery of human mind.
