Happy Woman's Day.
Well, not that I understand why we need to have a "day" indicated with and for women whereas we are omnipresent over the days and nights and pasts and presents and histories and minds and brains and hearts and souls and civilizations across the world, but I don't mind the attention! :)
I was reading "Sada Side Kotha" by Md. Zafar Iqbal and came across trivias and truths about Bangladeshi Muktijuddo or War of Liberation of Bangladesh. With my inconsistent reading on this topic and limited knowledge about February 21 ("Ekushe February"), I don't qualify to write about it. But I couldn't resist expressing my awe and respect for the great lady who gave a face and soul to the Bangladeshi secular movement of 1991, against the the mass-murderers in the name of religion. Mrs. Jahanara Imam, who transformed from being a prolific writer to the greatest leader of a movement which saved and awakened a nation, from being author of the most resourceful literary work about Bangladeshi war of liberation to the wife and mother of "Shahids". She fought the blood-shed in name of religion and she fought cancer, in her 60's. She re-ignited the soul and identity of a nation from the deep dark curse in the name of fundamentalism.

Mrs. Jahanara Imam, one word for you - respect!
