Should Dharun Ravi be held responsible of hate crime for Tyler Clementi's death in the minds of people or in the (blind) eyes of law, or should this society take a moment off to introspect the validity of being an "open" society?


With due respect to the departed soul of Tyler Clementi and others who lost their invaluable lives due to relentless bullying, and with full understanding and support of Dharun Ravi's conviction for the counts of invasion of privacy, witness tampering, evidence tampering, I would raise a few questions in front of this free, capitalist society. But before I start my argument, let me put forth this one-liner - 


who should be held responsible for a devastating explosion, the person who light the explosive or the people who gathered the tons of it over long time?
